BALTIMORE (May 21, 2012) – Constellation Energy, a leading national
energy supplier, today announced the brand identity for MXenergy, a
residential and small business energy provider Constellation acquired a
year ago, will transition to the Constellation brand name, effective
June 1, 2012.
The change means that approximately half a million MXenergy customers in
15 states will receive their
customer care under the Constellation brand, as planned when
Constellation closed the acquisition of MXenergy on July 1, 2011.
"We are pleased to welcome MXenergy customers to the Constellation brand
and offer them our
customer service and reliability," said Mark Huston, senior vice
president of Constellation's retail business.
MXenergy customers began receiving letters notifying them of the brand
change in late April. Customers will continue to receive the same terms,
conditions and rates. More information is available at
or customers may call 866-246-6731.
MXenergy has notified state regulators and the North American Electric
Reliability Corporation of the brand change.
