Constellation Energy Gets Into the Holiday Spirit with Free Rides on SEPTA's Santa Express
For the first time in the 21-year history of Santa Express, passengers will enjoy a free ride to the Gallery at Market East to see Santa PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- All aboard the 2011 Santa Express! Philadelphia-area families looking forward to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority's (SEPTA) annual Santa Express extravaganza can count on an early holiday present. Thanks to Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG), the annual Black Friday ride to see Santa arrive for the season at the Gallery at Market East will be free for all passengers! This is the 21st year for SEPTA's annual holiday tradition, which attracts hundreds of families who ride Regional Rail and subway trains into Center City in time for a parade through the Gallery at Market East. The parade, which begins at 11 a.m. on Nov. 25, is led by Santa, Mrs. Claus and their helpers. "The Santa Express is a wonderful, celebrated tradition in Philadelphia, and Constellation Energy is thrilled to team up with SEPTA to make it a little more affordable," said Kenny Matula, head of residential electric choice programs at Constellation Energy. "When you choose Constellation Energy as your electricity supplier, it can help leave a little extra in your wallet to spend on family and friends." Constellation Energy launched its residential electric choice offer in the Greater Philadelphia region this summer with direct mail to 650,000 homeowners and renters in the PECO service territory. Constellation is widely known to thousands of commercial, industrial and government customers in Pennsylvania, including Yuengling Brewery, the Alternative Fuels Renewable Energies Council and the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania. Residential consumers may learn more about Constellation's offers at home.constellation.com On Santa Express trains, Santa's helpers will spread goodwill to passengers by giving children goodie bags.
