Putting energy dollars to work to strengthen the communities we serve!
“We recognize that every community has unique needs. That’s why we are launching the Constellation Community Champions program. Communities are the livelihood that surround our everyday lives.”
- Rachel Duncan, Community Stewardship
At Constellation, we are dedicated to supporting our loyal customers in the communities we serve. We believe caring for customers goes beyond just providing energy services like electricity and natural gas, and we know that a little can go a long way.
When it comes to volunteering and giving back to the community, not only do we consider it a part of our culture, but a positive team-building experience that benefits everyone involved. This year, our employees have already volunteered more than 4,000 hours in support of many worthwhile community programs to help educate and revitalize communities throughout the states we serve.
Helping to improve our communities is an on-going effort we support through our employee volunteer program and corporate sponsorship activities.
In Verona, PA, Constellation employees and PGA Senior Players teamed up at a Habitat for Humanity jobsite to trim hedges, weed, plant flowers and spread mulch.
Volunteers spent a day with Junior Achievement at the Lincoln-Hancock Community School in Quincy, MA, and at Lowell Community Charter Public School in Lowell, MA, teaching classes about community and family.
Constellation sponsored a fundraiser for One Fund Boston at McGreevy’s in Boston, where more than $5,000 was raised to assist families of the victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombing.
Volunteers spent two days in Roslindale, MA putting the final touches on a Habitat for Humanity house by painting the interior of the home and building a new deck.
At the West End House Boys & Girls Club in Allston, MA, volunteers participated in their summer program interacting with elementary and middle-school children, engaging their interest in arts and crafts, gymnastics, science and math.
In Baltimore, over 120 employees participated in the Constellation School Makeover Challenge, painting a new school logo and wall murals to build civic pride and boost school spirit.
In the Chesapeake Bay watershed – home to over 17 million people – we are continuing to make an ongoing investment with Chesapeake Bay Trust and the Waterfront Partnership, educating and connecting more people with sustainable initiatives.
