When the town of Lexington was up for renewal on its energy contract, Constellation was able to provide an RFP both for the town and for the Fayette County Board of Education in Lexington. The Fayette County district was able to save on its operations budget by working with Constellation on energy conservation measures, translating into more money for instruction. Within the first year of working with Constellation on a new energy strategy, the district was able to avoid $900,000 in energy costs, and reduce its natural gas spend by $300,000.
