Constellation Energy's international coal business provides physical coal and logistics services to clients internationally as well as to our own fleet of coal-fired power stations in the US. By aggregating our global portfolio of long term coal, ocean, barge and rail shipping contracts we provide competitively-priced, flexible, low risk fuel supply agreements for our clients. We have one of the most diverse coal portfolios in the world, supplying clients in the US, Europe and Asia with coals mined and shipped from the US, Russia, South Africa, South America, Indonesia, Canada and Australia.

At CEG, we offer our customers unique approaches depending on their individual needs, including:

• Working with end-users to widen their fuel flexibility to reduce risks and costs associated with dependence on limited fuel supply sources. Our technical team includes chemists, geologists, and combustion engineers who coordinate with our customers' own experts to organize, monitor, and evaluate trial burn programs;

• Tailoring fuel pricing to provide maximum flexibility and reduce exposure to fluctuating markets. We offer fixed and index-linked pricing and can give our customers the ability to switch between pricing structures to proactively manage their market exposure;

• Providing customized delivery schedules while focusing on reducing costs and risks in each leg of the delivery chain. Our in-house shipping logistics professionals manage a large portfolio of transportation contracts to economies of scale and optimize programs to provide maximum flexibility and savings to our customers;

• Leveraging our extensive presence in coal and shipping derivative markets to provide financial risk management tools.

Constellation Energy also works with a number of global and regional mining companies to help them expand their businesses, using our global reach and knowledge to help develop coal deposits to match growing global demand requirements. We typically provide large volume, long-term fixed or indexed purchase agreements to underpin brownfield or greenfield coal mine development or mine acquisition. To provide competitively priced solutions we are willing to structure these agreements to manage delivery and quality risk, exposure to world market coal prices and to contribute both debt and equity capital.
