Request Process: In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are limited to material design and printing, video production services, and hanging banners to advertise nonprofit organizations' fundraising events (see Banner Hanging for NonProfit Groups in Central Md on the Request Process page). These services are provided on a limited basis and are based on budget and availability of staff.

Please note that BGE cannot provide in-kind donation of materials or services that are regulated by the Maryland Public Service Commision. Examples of regulated services include: connection fees/materials; help with BGE bills; relocation of utility poles, etc.

Please submit the following:

1. Letter of request on organization’s letterhead. Please be specific about what item or service you are requesting;

2. Brief summary of organization including mission, goals, and objectives;

3. Copy of 501(c)(3) IRS nonprofit determination letter;

4. Complete information on the use of the in-kind donation and its benefit to the overall mission of the organization;

5. Copy of completed Organization Budget form;

6. List of current corporate contributors and amount/item or service donated; and

7. List of prior year corporate contributors and amount/item or service donated.
