Emergency Zones, Evacuation Routes and Reception Centers
Dorchester County (Zone 8)

Reception Centers
If your protective action zone is evacuated, you should go to the nearest Reception Center. Activated Reception Centers would be announced through Emergency Alert System messages. Dorchester County Reception Centers are located at:

Maple Elementary School
Route 16 & Maple Dam Road, Cambridge

Includes all of Taylor’s Island, Smithville, and residents off Meekins Neck Road, Smithville Road (north of Beaver Dam Creek), and Route 16 (west of Parsons Creek).
