Vice President, Finance, Constellation
As vice president of finance for Constellation, Diaz oversees the company’s wholesale and retail business segments, financial forecasting, project analysis, performance indicators and financial reporting.
Prior to his current role, Diaz was director of financial planning & analysis for Constellation’s retail business. In that role, he oversaw all aspects of financial planning for the industry leading retail energy supplier, assisted business leaders in understanding business line profitability and supported the continued growth of the retail business.
Diaz joined Constellation in 2001 and has held various leadership positions within the finance organization including director of technical accounting, director of treasury operations and director of corporate finance. He has been involved in numerous large scale systems implementations and supported several acquisitions, most recently leading the finance integration during the acquisition of Integrys Energy Services.
Prior to joining Constellation, Diaz performed consulting and audit services primarily for governmental entities as a consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Diaz is the founding president of the Baltimore Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America, the first national Latino professional association in the U.S., and a member of the board of directors of TurnAround, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on building a community free of violence by advocating for and educating adults and children affected by intimate partner and sexual violence in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Diaz received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Towson University and completed the Program for Leadership Development at the Harvard Business School.
David lives in Jacobus, Pa. with his wife, Angela, and 3 children, Xavier, Emelia and Lydia.
