Texas Public Power Pool Selects Constellation to Supply Low-Cost Electricity to Members

HOUSTON (Nov. 19, 2012) - Public Power Pool (P3) has selected Constellation to supply its members with 2.7 million megawatt- hours of low-cost electricity following a competitive bidding process. P3 is one of the largest electricity aggregators in Texas, purchasing power for approximately 69 local governments and public entities.
According to P3, the three-year agreement with Constellation, beginning in 2014, provides a commodity supply rate to its members that is 31 percent lower than the commodity component of their electricity costs under their current contract.*
