Constellation Congratulates PGA Pro Jim Furyk on RBC Heritage Win

April 21, 2015

BALTIMORE (April 21, 2015) — Constellation-sponsored PGA Pro Jim Furyk picked up his 17th career PGA TOUR victory on Sunday at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island, S.C., shooting a day’s-best 8-under par 63 and birdies on both holes of a two-hole playoff. This is Furyk’s second victory at RBC Heritage; the other came in 2010.

“Constellation is excited to congratulate Jim on his 17th PGA TOUR victory,” said Bruce Stewart, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Constellation. “Jim is a world-class competitor, and his confidence remained steadfast throughout the tournament and during his two-hole playoff, thanks to his intelligent, analytical and strategic play. This smart, thoughtful approach reflects Constellation’s brand and how we work with customers to manage their energy strategies. We look forward to our continued strong partnership with Jim.”

Furyk has a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Constellation and has enjoyed a long relationship with Exelon, Constellation's parent company, serving as host of the Exelon Invitational tournament in Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2010.

The company’s relationship with Furyk is one of a handful of unique sponsorships Constellation maintains with professional sporting organizations including the NHL, PGA, and numerous MLB, NBA, and NFL sports teams.

Another key Constellation sports sponsorship is the Constellation Senior Players Championship coming up June 9 to 14, at the Belmont Country Club, outside of Boston. The third major of the Champions Tour season features 81 of golf’s best players and one of the strongest fields of the year.
