Constellation Employees Celebrate National Volunteer Week

In celebration of National Volunteer Week, Constellation makes a yearly commitment to providing charitable donations and volunteering in the communities in which we live and work. In 2017, over 700 Constellation employees engaged in 50 projects throughout 11 states and 14 cities, volunteered more than 210,195 hours and donated more than $52M –setting an internal company record for charitable giving during National Volunteer Week. 
A sample of projects completed in 2017 included: 

  • New Hampshire: Sorting nearly 3,500 pounds of food into 119 cases to be distributed throughout the state 
  • Maryland: Shoreline and waterway clean-ups that removed nearly 1,000 pounds of trash from Chesapeake Bay tributaries, planting over 80 trees in partnership with local schools in Baltimore, serving lunch to 500 individuals working to overcome homelessness and addiction at Helping Up Mission in Baltimore, building homes with Habitat for Humanity and providing thousands of essential items to those experiencing homelessness in partnership with Healthcare for the Homeless in Baltimore. 
  • Texas: Improving local parks and streams at Herman Park and Willow Waterhole in Houston.  
  • New York: Building homes with Habitat for Humanity.  
  • Wisconsin: Building homes in Green Bay with Habitat for Humanity.
