Sustainability Partner of the Ryder Cup

As the Official Sustainability Partner of the Ryder Cup, Constellation minimizes the environmental impact of the tournament by providing Green-e Energy Certified Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to match the electricity used during the event. These RECs certify that 100% of the energy used during Ryder Cup events will be matched with wind generation to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Our mix of clean energy solutions, such as wind and solar resources, help the PGA of America, host organization of the Ryder Cup, meet its sustainability goals and can help your organization too. 

Fans at the 2020 Ryder Cup in 2021 will be able visit Constellation’s Sustainability Activation to learn about energy efficiency and pledge to reduce their impact on the environment. Each pledge will be matched with a donation to The Nature Conservancy to further their mission to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.

Energy Efficiency Improvements for Local Golf Courses

Who can make my energy work smarter? As the official energy provider of the Ryder Cup, Constellation helps homes, businesses and golf facilities maximize every energy dollar. We conduct energy-efficiency analyses at golf courses to improve their environmental and financial stability.

Our sustainability strategies reduce their environmental impact and operational expenses in areas such as: lighting, building automation, water conservation, and electric vehicle charging stations. 

For a golf club in New Jersey, Constellation’s award-winning Efficiency Made Easy® (EME) program funded the installation of an LED lighting system that reduced consumption by 50% resulting in estimated annual energy savings of over $135,000 along with additional annual savings on maintenance due to new equipment that has longer life cycles and newer warranties. This project serves as an excellent example of how Constellation’s EME program provides facilities with customizable upgrades and energy management tools that have the potential to cut energy costs and improve day-to-day operations.
