Environment
Constellation Energy donated 44 acres near our Brandon Shores and Wagner power plants to the local county government for recreational uses, including the construction of soccer and baseball fields. We donated an additional 100 acres nearby to a local land trust for preservation and trails.
When a drought gripped Maryland in 2002, we quickly responded to local government’s request to reduce water use at our Brandon Shores and Wagner power plants. Operational and environmental teams at the plants stepped up recycling, fine-tuned equipment, and changed operating procedures to cut water use by more than 6%.
