Recent years have reinforced the mainstream adoption and growth of installed U.S. solar capacity, driven by major advances in panel efficiency, rapid drops in panel price, a growing awareness of carbon emissions, and strong regulatory incentives. By hosting a solar system on-site, you can lower your electric bill, eliminate energy price volatility, and increase energy independence/reliability, as well as potentially participate in associated sustainability benefits and offsets. Constellation has served more than 80 customers across the U.S. with almost 300 MWs of behind-the-meter, customized solar solutions over the last decade, and can work with you to create your own solar solution.
As a result of the 2016 merger between Exelon Corporation and Pepco Holdings, Constellation will be developing and constructing 37 MW of new solar assets within Pepco and Delmarva Power and Light (DPL) service territories.
Constellation is seeking commercial solar project opportunities along with customers interested in new solar generating assets that will be owned and operated by Constellation. Locations are in the following Pepco and DPL service territories:
Within Pepco territory:
- Prince George’s County, MD
- Montgomery County, MD
- Washington, DC
Within DPL territory:

From Our Customers
“In our continuous quest to improve the sustainability of our company, we relentlessly seek partners who will step up and help us redefine what is possible,” said Owens Corning Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Frank O'Brien-Bernini. “Once again, Constellation has delivered; helping us to imagine and then build a large-scale solar photovoltaic system to deliver significant renewable energy to our facility and, at the same time, become an iconic structure for Owens Corning and the downtown Toledo streetscape.”
