Switching Connecticut Energy Suppliers
In Connecticut, utility companies used to be the only option for energy users — the utility company controlled delivery, pricing and maintenance. Today, you can choose the best Connecticut electricity supplier for you, meaning it's easy to compare electric plans near you and select the best rate and plan for your needs.
Understanding Connecticut Energy Suppliers vs. Utility Companies
Utility companies deliver electricity to your home. This means your Connecticut utility company — which many customers refer to as light and power companies — owns the power lines which deliver energy to you to serve your home. As a supplier of electricity in CT, we aren't the utility company that delivers electricity to your home, but the provider that sets your rate and contract term. Rather, we provide you with customized energy plans, competitive Connecticut electric rates and exceptional customer service!
*Wind Power Plan Notice. The electricity supply service includes renewable energy certificates sourced from wind power generators within the United States in an amount equal to 100% of the accounts' usage, in addition to the mandatory renewable portfolio standard requirements for the state in which the accounts are located, during the term of this agreement. Applies to Wind Power plans only.
