Constellation is exiting the retail natural gas supply business in New York effective immediately and will be transferring its current retail natural gas customers to Great Amercian Gas and Electric, LLC.
 

What will change for natural gas customers in New York?

Constellation will notify you by mail of the date when we will no longer be your natural gas supplier.  Great American Gas and Electric, LLC. (GAGE) will supply your natural gas after that date.

Are there any changes to my contracted price?

No,  there will be no changes in the price, terms or conditions of service as they are stated in your contract. 

What happens if my contract was up for renewal and I received a renewal notice?

If you opt-in to the offer that is provided in your renewal notice, your contract will still be assigned to Great American Gas and Electric, LLC.  There will be no changes in the price, terms or conditions of service as they are stated in your renewal notice when your contract is assigned.  If you choose not to opt-in, you will be returned to the utility for your energy supply at the end of your current contract with Constellation.

Will the terms of my Electricity Supply agreement be altered or modified?

No, there are no changes to electricity supply contracts in New York. The change is solely for natural gas contracts.

Why is Constellation exiting the New York Market?

Constellation has experienced large attrition over the past 5 years in its NY gas book due to product limitations in the marketplace.  With less of a customer base and challenges in growing the book in the near future, the decision was made to exit the market.
